Poll: Could the average straight guy name 10 Beyonce songs? Nov 27th 2012, 13:56 An interesting point was brought up in another thread, where someone claimed Beyonce had a more universal appeal as they believed most straight guys would be more able to name more of her her songs than Britney songs Quote: Britney is mainly iconic within the female and gay communities while Bey has had an impact on all communities + is relevant in Pop AND R&B. A random straight guy from the street probably couldn't name 10 Britney songs. But a random straight guy from the street could probably name 10 Beyonce songs AND THEN SOME. For reference, the person believed that those ten songs would include these: Quote: Crazy In Love, Deja Vu, Irreplaceable, Single Ladies, Halo, If I Were A Boy, Baby Boy, Girls (Run The World), Naughty Girl, Diva You CANNOT say that these songs aren't known by men because I've, personally, never met anyone who hasn't heard of these songs. How many Britney songs could a random straight guy name by Britney? Hmm....BOMT, Toxic (maybe), Oops!, and......maybe Womanizer. That's about it, eh? So what do you guys think? This is not to say that both extremes don't exist. Of course, there are straight guys out there familiar with Beyonce's work, and of course there are gay guys out there who don't know the first thing about her. But if push came to shove, could the average straight guy name 10 Beyonce songs?
