I'm so tired of reviewers bringing up Chris Brown negatively, and not only that, focusing entirely on him on the reviews of 'Unapologetic'. I mean, I didn't care that much, until Pitchfork, one of only a couple of my respected review sites, tinted the whole review with him negatively.
Let me break it to you:
-Chris Brown is only featured in one song of FOURTEEN.
-Chris Brown has written NONE of the songs in 'Unapologetic'.
-Everyone has the right to fall in love with who they want, if it's legal at least.
-If you wanna judge the morals and civics of people do it with everyone. Are people suddenly gonna dismiss say 'The Piper at the Gates of Dawn' just because Syd Barret was a downward spiral drug addict? James Brown treated his women like s**t, does it make him a bad musician?
I mean, it's art people, you gotta respect the idiosyncrasy of artists, you don't get to judge people's decisions if you're not on their shoes. Less if you're not a woman. Women's rights and how should we treat them in society is still unresolved. Until less than two centuries, women had almost the same rights as slaves and men have been ruling and mistreating them for thousands of years.
Can people give Rihanna a break at focus on the music and less on Chris Brown?
Also, can we stop pretending men have a great past and that we shouldn't be judging women' decision as if we were saints?
What do you think?
