Robbie Williams has stormed into the lead on the official midweek singles chart.

The singer's latest track 'Candy', which has sold over 73,000 in two days, is on course to be his first solo number one in eight years after 2004's 'Radio'.

Meanwhile, Wiley's 'Can You Hear Me' lands at number three and Adele's 'Skyfall' rises two spots from seven to five.

Outside the Top 10, The Lumineers leap 23 to 14 with 'Ho Hey', Paloma Faith's 'Never Tear Us Apart' vaults 29 to 16, and fun. lift 18 spots to 20 with 'Some Nights'.

Hot Natured's 'Benediction' debuts at 31, Asaf Avidan's 'One Day/Reckoning Song' starts at 36, and Calvin Harris and Tinie Tempah's 'Drinking From the Bottle' enters at 39.

On the album chart, Harris's 18 Months is leading the tally, while Kylie Minogue's The Abbey Road Sessions is 5,000 copies behind at two.

fun.'s Some Nights leaps 29 places to number four, Madness land at six with Oui Oui Si Si Ja Ja Da Da, and Matt Cardle's The Fire debuts at number seven.


Elsewhere, Mick Hucknall's American Soul is new at ten, Peter Andre starts at 14 with Angels and Demons, and the James Bond Skyfall soundtrack lands at 23.
