Back in 2010, Rihanna was owning radio, single sales and even album sales for Loud (and Rated R at the first half of that year), the so called fans of the trinity warned navy that their faves will come and slay at 2011. The result is Adele slayed everybody, Rih comes second. Gaga comes..... third. Both Bey and Brit underperformed. And Katy just made historic feats.
Now in 2012, we just witnessed Rihanna geting her 1st #1 album in the US, Adele still slaying with those album sales, and Taylor Swift getting those checks. Come 2013, Bey and Gaga will release their 5th and 3rd studio albums respectively. Jsut so you know, both artists have already lined up promotional stunts and hyping for their upcoming projects.
Now, are you excited for the competition next year? I mean, who will possibly own the year?
Should we expect Unapologetic to be another LOUD?
Will there be a new ADELE?
Will Lady Gaga finally lived up to her hype?
Will Beyonce repeak this time?
Will Katy give us 6 number ones from an album?
Will Kesha slay us all with millions of album sales?
Me, I'm excited to see how next year's music industry will pan out. I just hope for the best of them all.
