On Billboard's Social 50 chart this week, Shakira jumps to No. 1 for the first time, following the birth of her son Milan on Jan. 22. She displaces Justin Bieber, who falls to the No. 2 spot. The Social 50 chart ranks the most popular artists on YouTube, Vevo, Facebook, Twitter, SoundCloud, Wikipedia, Myspace and Instagram. The chart's methodology blends weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with artist pageviews, song plays and reactions. The sudden ascension on the tally is due to an outpouring of support from online fans, congratulating the Colombian pop star on her new arrival. In the 114 weeks Shakira has resided on the Social 50 chart, this is her first week in the No. 1 position. . . . This week, the campaign continued to amplify her social imprint.
