The singer also rejected Lady Gaga's Just Dance

Rihanna's We Found Love and Lady Gaga's Just Dance are two of the biggest pop songs in recent years, right?

Well Nicole Scherzinger clearly wasn't initially impressed by them, as she revealed she turned down the opportunity to record BOTH of the hit songs as her own.

The X Factor judge told Notion magazine she just wasn't feeling the dance-vibe of We Found Love, and so the track instead was offered to Rihanna.

She revealed: "I passed on We Found Love. I've got the demo of that song and I was busy at the time. They'd sent me a few dance tracks and I wasn't able to get to them and I was like, 'Oh there's so much dance and I want to take a break from it'."

She added: "That was my fault. I slept on it."

As if losing We Found Love wasn't bad enough (just think how big that could have been for you Nicole! Kick yourself now!) the singer also revealed her group the Pussycat Dolls had previously turned down Just Dance, which went on to become an international chart-topper for Lady Gaga.

Oh yeah, and why stop at two rejections, Nicole also said no to Gnarls Barkley's uber-cool and uber-catchy Crazy. Again, a track that became an international chart-topping phenomenon.

Nicole... We're loving new track Boomerang without a doubt, but maybe if any big songwriters offer you some more new music anytime soon, just grab it. Just grab it with both hands. Or at least ask a friend for a second opinion.

We think a raunchy, raspy, powerhouse Scherzinger version of We Found Love could have been epic.
Well done Nicole..
