Let's pull off the gloves and do it. Ignore the supposed 'flamebait' and 'trolling' of me asking this in the first place; it has to be done.
On ATRL the music industry is ridiculously confined to the point where the prevailing taste does not extend past the 80s, so (as demonstrated recently) Bohemian Rhapsody is credited as being "Incredible!" and "A work of art!". I want to ask if it really is.
Is Bohemian Rhapsody really as good as ATRL gives it credit for? Now don't mistake me for a hater; I adore Bohemian Rhapsody but the amount of praise it receives on ATRL seems pretty unjust. I'm curious to think what those with a more diverse taste in music think.
The main reason for the acclaim seems to be due to the lyrics, when in all fairness are the lyrics really as good as everyone says? They can either be seen as genius or an unfollowable mess. And just to clarify, ambiguity and lack of sense does not automatically make a song a piece of art.
So,
Bohemian Rhapsody: Masterpiece or Mess?
