Discussion: Why the lack of baritone and bass voices in pop?
Sep 2nd 2012, 23:02

It seems almost every successful male pop singer is a tenor these days (Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, Usher, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, Jason Mraz, Enrique Iglesias, Adam Lambert, all the R&B crooners, even popular frontmen like Adam Levine, Chris Martin, Bono etc.)

Why do you think this is? Are deeper male singing voices just not as suitable for pop music? Would you like there to be more baritones on the charts?
